The Second Chance

I know this one person, who was a drop-out from school and now is taking SPM back, on his own initiative. When I knew about his intention to re-seat, I was shocked and in disbelief. He falls into the category of 'the least person you thought that still want to study or has anything related with school'.

I just helped him to study. Doing last minute revision, sum up everything that you should have learned in 2 years into one night study revision. That is the challenge. I hope, I taught him enough, just enough to pass and has better life in future.

If one can be assessed according to effort, I will give him an A.

I, myself learned a lot from this situation.

  • Education is important.
  • Doing your best is much more important.
  • Should we judge one's ability based on his capability to answer some questions in exam?
  • How parents and teachers should play their roles?
  • How about us, do we contribute enough?
  • What will happened to these dropouts if no one guide them?

...

the list goes on and on.

Among all the lessons-learnt, I must say that, We, as an adult should always encourage youngsters to do their best, to behave well, to be a kind person, to treat and respect others right, to guide them about the rights and wrongs and so on. Even when we have to be hypocrite sometimes.

Can we really expect them to learn about life by themselves?

I better stop now,I'm so tired. bye for now~
